The 2nd International Ringette Camp in Prague, Czech Republic is now over. Camp has been a good way to practice basic ringette skills as well as prepare to the Czech Ringetten Challenge Cup.
Coaches of the camp have been Anu Pitkänen and Margie Carter. Ms. Pitkänen is happy with the camp:
„During the five days camp we have been focusing on basic skills such as skating, passing and shooting. We have also practiced some defensive and offensive tactics. Czech team is ready for the tournament and for its first championship.“
Ms. Pitkänen is happy to have had the chance to coach Czech players and hopes she has been able to give inspiration and new ideas to the Czech ringette people. „Co-operation between all ringette countries is vital in the future so we can develop our sport together“, says ms. Pitkänen, who was recently elected as the Director of Sport Development of the IRF.
Stay tuned to see what’s happening in Prague during this weekend at the annual Czech Ringette Challenge Cup!
